Jennifer B. Grippa is the Construction Mediation leader at Miles. 

As a litigation attorney, Jennifer concentrated her practice in the areas of complex commercial litigation, including business, financial services, commercial real estate and construction. She has both prosecuted and defended business litigation cases involving contentions ranging from breach of contract to fraud, deceptive trade practices, civil RICO, fraudulent conveyances, breach of fiduciary duty, professional malpractice and other business torts. She has extensive experience helping clients resolve a vast range of business disputes as lead counsel in numerous trials, appeals, arbitrations and mediations.

Jennifer has represented business owners, developers and landlords of office, retail and industrial leases in a wide range of commercial real estate and environmental matters, from negotiating resolutions of disputes to litigating cases involving breaches of contract, property damage and environmental pollution claims. She led the Environmental Law Practice Group at Miller & Martin and is a LEED AP BD+C (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design® Accredited Professional with a specialty in Building Design and Construction).

Jennifer led the Construction Practice Group at Miller & Martin, where she counseled clients in areas ranging from contract negotiations to disputes involving payment, performance, delays, liens and surety claims. Jennifer has litigated construction and design defect cases and has been recognized as a Georgia Super Lawyer Rising Star in construction for the last 7 consecutive years. She has also been recognized in Atlanta magazine for being one of “The Top Women Attorneys in Georgia.” In 2016, she was named in Georgia Trend‘s 2016 “Legal Elite” for her expertise in Real Estate and Construction Law.

Jennifer received her Juris Doctorate cum laude from Syracuse University College of Law in 2001 and her Bachelor of Arts degree in 1998 from State University of New York at Geneseo.  She is the author of “A Practical Guide to Implementing ADR in the Construction Industry: Ideas and Strategies that Get Results,” Construction Dispute Resolution, Thompson Reuters Westlaw, 2013 ed. She serves on the Board of Directors of the Atlanta Bar Association’s Dispute Resolution section.
