Xanthe Johnson
Accounting Specialist, D'Amico & Associates
Xanthe Johnson is originally from Brooklyn, New York, and spent her formative years enjoying the sun in St. Petersburg, Florida. She lived in Atlanta, Georgia, for a decade before returning to Florida in 2014.
During the pandemic, Xanthe and her family experienced the devastating loss of her younger sister to COVID-19. In the wake of that loss, she felt a strong pull to return to Atlanta to be closer to her only son and her beloved grandchildren.
As the oldest of five siblings, Xanthe shares a deep bond with her family, including her identical twin sister. Family remains central to her life and values.
In 2009, she achieved a longtime personal goal by publishing her debut novel, “Last Laugh, Last Cry.” Inspired by her own life experiences, the book blends fiction and reality in a way that resonates with readers through its honest and relatable storytelling.
Xanthe has worked in the accounting profession for more than 40 years and earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting from Liberty University in 2015. She brings a passion for numbers, a love of problem-solving, and a commitment to excellent customer service. While she may joke about not loving every part of accounting, her dedication to the field is clear.
Her diverse career has included roles in industries such as engineering, utilities, and entertainment. She is now thrilled to be part of the team at Miles Mediation & Arbitration, where she has already been deeply impressed by the supportive, inclusive culture, and leadership. The flexibility of the hybrid work model has also allowed her to maintain a healthy work-life balance.
Outside of work, Xanthe enjoys a variety of leisure activities and loves traveling — especially to Jamaica and Las Vegas — for rest and rejuvenation. Her greatest joy, however, comes from spending time with her five grandchildren: Dennis III, 24; King, 13; Tyus, 10; Dallas, 9; and Denver, 5. They are, as she lovingly says, her heart and soul.
