Angus Macaulay

Angus H. Macaulay has mediated numerous employment, business and personal injury lawsuits in state and federal courts.  As a part of his mediation practice, Angus is trained and certified by the South Carolina Supreme Court’s Commission on Alternative Dispute Resolution.  

Angus is a partner in the Columbia, SC office of Nexsen Pruet, LLC.  He is also certified as a Specialist in Employment and Labor law by the SC Supreme Court. When he is not mediating cases, Angus represents clients in employment litigation matters, and these include discrimination claims. Angus has also defended and prosecuted claims involving restrictive covenants such as non-competition and confidentiality agreements. His practice also includes representing clients in general civil litigation in state and federal courts. As a part of his practice, he provides practical advice on ways to minimize litigation risks and comply with federal and state employment laws. Angus is a frequent lecturer on employment-related topics.  He is also a former President of the South Carolina Bar.
