Hon. Gael D. Wood has a distinguished legal career spanning more than four decades, including extensive experience as a trial judge, mediator, and attorney. He served as the Presiding Circuit Judge for the 20th Judicial Circuit from 2001 to 2017, overseeing hundreds of cases involving:
In addition to his service as a Circuit Judge, Judge Wood has been designated as a Special Judge for both the Missouri Supreme Court and the Missouri Court of Appeals, Eastern District. He continues to serve as a Senior Circuit Judge since 2017.
Before his judicial career, Judge Wood was a member of a law firm engaged in general legal practice from 1975 to 2000, representing both plaintiffs and defendants. He is an ASTAR Fellow (Advanced Science and Technology Adjudication Resource), reflecting his expertise in handling cases involving complex scientific and technical issues.

Travel time and expenses, including meals and lodging, billed separately and split equally among the parties at the Neutral's hourly rate.

Mediations cancelled within 10 days of the mediation will be charged a cancellation fee of $500. However, mediations cancelled, rescheduled or settled within 24 hours of the mediation will be charged 4 hrs. of the Neutral's hourly rate . Cancellation fees shall be sent to the cancelling party unless otherwise agreed to by the parties.
