Richard Goldenhersh
Judge Richard P. Goldenhersh brings over four decades of trial and appellate judicial experience to his mediation practice. After earning his law degree in 1969, he began his legal career in private practice, representing both plaintiffs and defendants across a broad range of legal matters.
In 1975, Judge Goldenhersh was appointed Associate Circuit Judge in Illinois, where he served until 1982. He was then appointed Circuit Judge, a role he held until his election to the Illinois Appellate Court, 5th District, in 1988. He served on the Appellate Court for 30 years, including as Presiding Justice, until his retirement in 2018.
Throughout his career, Judge Goldenhersh has been recognized for his leadership and contributions to the legal profession. He has received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Illinois Judges Association and the Richard J. Elrod Award from the Jewish Judges Association.
