Stephen Strum
Stephen M. Strum is a skilled mediator, Municipal Judge for the City of Clayton, and a partner at Sandberg Phoenix & von Gontard. With over three decades of legal experience, Stephen has participated in more than 200 mediations across numerous states, including Missouri, Illinois, New Mexico, Arizona, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Kansas, Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Massachusetts.
Stephen’s extensive litigation background includes handling hundreds of catastrophic injury cases for both plaintiffs and defendants. These cases have involved:
- Passenger cars, sport utility vehicles, and all-terrain vehicles
- Consumer and industrial products such as lawnmowers, electrical circuitry, and exercise equipment
- Healthcare cases, particularly in the nursing home sector, where he has acted as regional and national trial counsel for operators, handling over 500 cases in more than 15 states
In 1999, Stephen received the Lon O. Hocker Memorial Trial Lawyers Award from the Missouri Bar Foundation, recognizing his excellence in the courtroom.
