Tom is a mediator who was a litigator for over 38 years, trying more than 120 cases to verdict before transitioning to full-time mediation in 2024. His law practice focused on the defense of transportation, products, construction, and bad faith and coverage disputes. In addition to representing insurers and self-insured corporations, Tom successfully mediated dozens of cases at the request of peers seeking his assistance to resolve their disputes.
Tom practiced extensively in Georgia state and federal courts, including the Georgia Court of Appeals, the Georgia Supreme Court, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit. He has guest lectured at Emory Law School.
Tom is actively engaged as a mediator and adapts to the needs of each case. He communicates with the parties before, as well as during, mediation to learn about the issues at play and to help ensure a successful resolution.
When not resolving cases, Tom enjoys tennis, basketball, and golf, and he travels as often as he can.
