Each year, Business North Carolina invites active members of the North Carolina State Bar to vote for their most-esteemed peers. Attorneys can’t vote for themselves. Votes for lawyers from another firm are weighted more heavily than votes for one’s colleague at the same firm. This year, 982 lawyers were selected as Legal Elite, which represents fewer than 4% of the state’s 28,000 active attorneys.
Danae Woodward has spent her legal career practicing labor and employment law, both as a litigator representing employees and as an in-house attorney for large, publicly traded companies. Danae has handled workplace, pre-litigation, and litigation employment disputes in the public, private and non-profit sectors, pre and post-ADR employment cases for the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, and attorney-client fee disputes.

Meredith Jeffries has practiced employment law in Charlotte for over two decades. She brings to the mediation table a unique skill set garnered from her diverse practice experience. She has represented employers of all sizes, including the fifth largest employer in the United States as the Charlotte practice group leader of an AmLaw 100 firm, start-up companies with less than a dozen employees at the boutique firm where she is now a partner, and employers of all sizes in between.
Meredith has significant experience both litigating, settling, and mediating all types of employment discrimination, disability law, employment law, non-competition and other restrictive covenants, human resources matters, wage and hour law, labor law, and all aspects of the employer/employee relationship
