Employee Spotlight: Ashley Hill, Operations and Project Manager

Key Work Traits: Project Management
Ashley Hill, Miles’ operations and project manager, joined Miles in January 2025. She’s already had a tremendous impact on the company.
Ashley was a creative project manager at H&M before joining Miles. “What I really like about Miles is that this role was created for me,” she says. She created a board through Jira (project management software) from the ground up to manage the many cross-departmental projects she is responsible for. “I’ve developed what I call a hybrid process,” she explains. “It’s a mix of agile project management and traditional project management. Traditional project management used for most projects is linear and plan-driven, while Agile is beneficial for technology projects as it is iterative, flexible, and adapts to a constantly changing scope”
There’s no “typical” day for Ashley, who manages up to ten projects at a time. She averages three meetings a day (sometimes many more than that!) and enjoys working with Miles team members throughout the company’s various departments.
Currently one of her biggest projects is transitioning clients from NetSuite to the new client dashboard; she’s also helping manage the new client check-in process that will roll out soon. “I love wearing different hats and diving deeper into how each department works,” she says. “The more I learn, the better I can support the whole team!”
She loves Miles because of its culture. “It’s a beautiful company,” she says. “Everyone is so kind and welcoming and they care about your growth and about you as a person. You’re not just a cog in a machine.”
Ashley attended Ohio University, majoring in project management with a focus in integrated media. When she’s not at work, she’s a self-described “big nerd” who loves video games and anime. (Her passion runs in the family; her parents hosted Mortal Kombat tournaments when her mom was pregnant with her and her dad collects comic books). Ashley also enjoys attending comic conventions and has been known to cosplay as Miss Bellum from the Power Puff Girls and Poison Ivy (both of whom, like Ashley, are redheads!).
