Gabriella “Gaby” Bereket
Director of Operations
Tell us a little bit about your background. How did you join Miles?
I’m a true Georgia peach, born in Atlanta and raised in Alpharetta. I studied media
entrepreneurship at Georgia State and originally planned to go into the film industry.
As it often goes, life had other plans. I ultimately found my way into the legal field,
and it’s a path I’m grateful for. I joined Miles in 2020 as a receptionist, and through
Parag’s support, an incredible team, and a lot of learning, I’ve grown into my current
role.
Tell us a little bit about your role here at Miles.
As director of operations, I lead our integration and onboarding efforts and support
key operational processes across the organization. A big part of my role is helping
connect people, processes, and systems so everything runs smoothly and feels
aligned.
What I really enjoy most is being part of that transitional period for new neutrals
and team members. I’m there to help ease any uncertainty and act as a guide as they
get acclimated. No one really loves change, right? It can be uncomfortable and
overwhelming at times. Being able to step in and help people navigate that, answer
questions, and bring some clarity is something I genuinely find fulfilling.
What are some of your favorite aspects of your work at Miles?
No two days are the same. There’s always something new to problem-solve or
improve, which keeps things interesting.
I love bringing structure to complexity, especially during times of change. I’m a bit
“type A,” so organizing, building processes, and creating order out of chaos is where I
thrive. It’s also incredibly rewarding to be part of a team that genuinely supports one
another and invests in growth. That combination of structure and people-focused
work is what makes it all so fulfilling for me.
Tell us about what you do when you are not at Miles.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends and staying active
with things like tennis and long, scenic walks. I love traveling, exploring new
cultures, and trying new restaurants. Some of the best connections and experiences,
in my opinion, happen around a table.
Do you have a motto or inspiring statement you try to live by?
I try to live by the mindset that there is always something to learn and a way
forward. Staying positive, curious, and adaptable has been a big part of my growth
both in work and in life.
Anything else you would want to add?
I’m incredibly proud to be part of a team that values people and continuous
improvement. The past five years have been a really special journey.
