Tell me a little bit about your background. How did you join Miles?
I joined Miles following a kind invitation from a former colleague, friend, and neighbor, Ms. Amanda Cooper. Prior to that, I worked for approximately three years as a legal assistant to one of Jacksonville’s leading DUI attorneys. After Amanda referred me for the opportunity, I interviewed with the team — and four years later, I am grateful to still be a part of Miles.
Tell me a little bit about your role here at Miles. What does your workday typically include?
I was recently promoted to administration manager, where I now oversee the scheduling operations for our team. I continue to have the privilege of directly supporting two of our highly respected neutrals, Greg Parent and Rex Smith. In this role, I manage a team of 10 case managers across multiple locations, ensuring that scheduling processes and policies are consistently followed, while also addressing any escalated matters for both our neutrals and clients.
When I first joined four years ago, I worked in office, focusing solely on scheduling for our Jacksonville location. Over my time with the company, I have had the opportunity to work with every neutral on our panel across all locations at some point, which has provided me with a well-rounded understanding of our operations when it comes to scheduling.
What is one of your favorite aspects of your work at Miles?
My favorite part of Miles is, without a doubt, the team. It is a truly exceptional group of individuals who collaborate and support one another each day, creating a positive and cohesive work environment.
Tell us a little bit about what you do when you’re not at Miles.
Outside of work, I stay busy as a first-time mom to my 9-month-old son. My husband, B, and I have been married for nine years — fun fact: he was my elementary school crush. We live at the beach with our dog, Lincoln, and enjoy spending time together as a family, often watching football.
I am a devoted Miami Dolphins fan, while my husband supports the Jacksonville Jaguars, making ours a friendly, split household. B and I feel very fortunate to live close to our families, which means there is almost always a birthday, anniversary, or gathering to look forward to. In my free time, I enjoy visiting vintage markets and estate sales, reading, and taking trips to Walt Disney World — when time allows with a little one at home.
Do you have a motto you try to live by?
Football is a pastime I am grateful to share with my father. While we support our team, I have always been fascinated by the sport and the organization as a whole. One quote that has stayed with me is, “Perfection is not attainable, but if we chase perfection, we can catch excellence.” Flawless results are impossible, but relentlessly striving for them brings a high standard of excellence. And what a motto to remember every day before logging into work for the day!
