Presenters include Miles founder and CEO John Miles; Miles senior neutral Joseph Murphey; Lawrence M. “Larry” Watson, Jr.; a founding principal of UWWM, and Brenda J. Newman, who had a substantial litigation career before joining the UWWM panel. The group will work its way through example matter and explain several different paths to possible resolution for complex disputes.
These neutrals are uniquely suited to delivering the program. John Miles has mediated thousands of cases throughout his prominent career and is widely considered a pioneer in Georgia’s ADR community. Joseph Murphey, widely regarded as one of the most effective neutrals in the country, was recognized as an ADR Trailblazer by the National Law Journal. Larry Watson is known for his leadership in this practice area and is past chair of the American Bar Association Section of Litigation’s construction litigation committee. Newman is accustomed to dealing with construction and other complex disputes as a litigator and a neutral. She is the current co-chair of the Orange County Bar Association’s construction committee.
