Rex Smith Receives Lifetime Achievement Award

ATLANTA (June 24, 2020) – Rex Smith, Senior Neutral at Miles Mediation & Arbitration, has received the Lifetime Achievement Award. The award, presented by the Daily Report, recognizes Smith’s lasting mark on the Georgia legal community. The award is presented annually as part of the Daily Report’s prestigious Georgia Legal Awards.
Smith is nationally renowned for this alternative dispute resolution (ADR) practice, having handled more than 3,000 disputes in his 17 years as a mediator, arbitrator, and special master. He has helped resolve more than 90% of his mediations — with more than 70% settling the day of the mediation. Settlements have ranged from $10,000 to $40 million and involved as many as 12 parties.
In 2019, Smith left Henning Mediation to join Miles Mediation & Arbitration. He specializes in complex disputes in the areas of business/commercial; personal injury; construction; products liability; wrongful death; professional negligence; medical malpractice; aviation; contract disputes, insurance, nursing home litigation, and premises liability.
