Miles’ mediator and arbitrator, Tony DelCampo, will speak on Thursday, March 20, during the CLE panel, “Professionalism Rules: Navigating the Pitfalls for In-House Counsel.” He will be joined by panelists Melissa Gomez Nelson, partner, Dentons, Washington, DC; Juliee Conde-Medina, manager, compliance counsel, The Hershey Company, Washington, DC, and Daniel R. Alonso, sareholder, Vedder Price PC, New York, NY. The panel will be moderated by Glianny Fagundo, partner, Thompson Hine, Atlanta, GA.
The panel will explore the unique ethical and professionalism challenges faced by in-house attorneys, including: navigating conflicts of interest related to compensation, defining the “client,” understanding Upjohn warnings, mandatory disclosures of client misconduct, the fine line between business and legal advice, and the ethical considerations surrounding resignations and withdrawal from representation.
