Miles Mediation & Arbitration is gearing up to host the American Bar Association Dispute Resolution Section’s 2024 Arbitration Training Institute, June 6-7, 2024, at its Atlanta Resolution Center. Led by nationally recognized experts in the field, this institute offers a comprehensive exploration of the arbitral process from multiple perspectives, including neutrals, advocates, and in-house counsel.
The institute is geared toward the following:
- Litigators: Sessions are crafted to help litigators enhance their arbitration skills, offering practical insights and strategies to navigate the complexities of the arbitral process effectively.
- Arbitrators: The institute provides invaluable guidance and expertise to arbitrators who want to sharpen their practical skills and tackle challenging issues inherent in arbitration.
- In-house counsel: Participants will learn more about arbitration fundamentals and best practices for managing existing arbitral matters, empowering them to navigate arbitrations with confidence.
- Practicing lawyers new to arbitration: Attorneys considering a transition to arbitration will find the institute particularly beneficial as it offers insights into the nuances of arbitration practice and information about potential career paths.

Each session is followed by small group break-out discussions, fostering in-depth interaction between participants and presenters. This format allows for meaningful engagement and the exchange of ideas among attendees.
Miles’ neutrals David Gallo, Jennifer Grippa, and Tanya Tate, and Todd Drucker, Miles’ VP of business development, will join several of the panels and breakout sessions.
The ABA is seeking CLE credit approval for the institute from state bar associations, aiming for 9.3 hours of credit in 60-minute states (including 1 hour of ethics/professionalism specialty credit) and 11.2 hours of credit in 50-minute states (including 1.2 hours of ethics/professionalism specialty credits). (Credit hours are estimates and subject to approval and rounding rules of each state.) For specific program CLE details, visit the program website at http://ambar.org/arb2024 or refer to www.americanbar.org/mcle for general information on CLE at the ABA.
In addition to the educational content, attendees can look forward to receptions on June 5, to kick off the event, and on June 6, at Miles’ Atlanta Resolution Center. The receptions provide valuable opportunities for networking, fostering connections among participants and presenters.
